I love this mixer, though it has a few annoyances about it that kind of bother me.
First, the 'Main' volume slider controls both the volume of the internal amp, AND one of the two pre-amp outs on the board.
If there's an insert cable plugged into ANY of the channels FX insert connector, the internal effects processor seems to be disabled for ALL channels.
There is no way to select 'line' or 'microphone' level input for the XLR connectors. They are always operating at Mic level, and the 1/4' connectors are always Line level.
It's advertised as a '16' channel mixer, but it's actually only 12. The last 4 channels are stereo line inputs and are counted as two each, when there's only one volume control for each.
Channels 13/14 and 15/16 have only Level and Monitor Send controls. No tone controls, no gain control, no effects processing, and no pan control.
The 'CD In' has only a level control. No way to send it to the monitors, no balance/pan, no tonal controls and no effects send. Though the 'karaoke' mode is interesting - it manages a fairly decent 'center cut' on production music.
It's a good starter board, but you will out grow it quickly unless you are running a very simple system.
